Built on the Rock

Life can feel shaky at times—unexpected changes, setbacks, or worries that make it seem like the ground beneath us is crumbling. But as followers of Jesus, we have a foundation that cannot be shaken. When storms come, we stand firm because our lives are built on the Rock, Christ Himself.

Think about it, everything in this world is temporary, but Jesus is eternal. When you build your life on Him, you’re not swayed by every trial, trend, or opinion. His Word is steady. His promises are unchanging. He is the solid ground beneath your feet.

Matthew 7:24–25:

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."
 

Encouragement:

Notice that Jesus didn’t say if the storm comes.He said WHEN. Storms in life are guaranteed, but falling isn’t. When your hope and identity are anchored in Christ, the winds can blow, but they won’t knock you down.

Psalm 62:2

"Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken."
