The name Bethesda translates from ancient text to mean "House of Mercy" or "House of Grace." In the Gospel of John, the Pool of Bethesda was a place where people gathered seeking healing, restoration, and a fresh start. For thirty-eight years, one man waited by the water, bound by his circumstances. When Jesus encountered him, He didn’t tell him to wait for the waters to stir. He gave a direct, life-changing command: "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." Instantly, the man was healed. He didn't just stand up, he carried the very mat that used to carry him.

Bethesda was founded by Yvonne and Tade Oni, a husband and wife team united by an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and a shared passion for spreading the Gospel.
