Growth Takes Time
We live in a world that celebrates quick results.
Fast progress. Instant success. Immediate change.
But spiritual growth doesn’t work that way.
Growth takes time.
It’s often slow, quiet, and unseen. It doesn’t always feel dramatic or noticeable, and sometimes it can even feel like nothing is happening at all.
But just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean God isn’t working.
In Galatians 6:9, we’re encouraged:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
That means growth is happening, even when it feels hidden.
Think about how a seed grows.
It’s planted beneath the surface. For a while, nothing seems to change. But underneath, roots are forming. Strength is developing. Things are happening before it ever becomes visible.
Your spiritual life works the same way.
God is growing patience in you.
He’s strengthening your faith.
He’s shaping your character.
Even in the waiting.
Growth isn’t always comfortable.
Sometimes it looks like stretching.
Sometimes it feels like pruning.
Sometimes it requires letting go of old habits, old mindsets, or old expectations.
But every part of the process has purpose.
If you feel like you’re not where you thought you’d be by now, don’t be discouraged.
You’re not behind.
You’re growing.
And God is not rushing the process, because what He’s building in you is meant to last.
So stay consistent.
Stay rooted.
Stay faithful in the small things.
Because over time, what feels slow will become something strong.
And what God grows in you will be worth every moment of the process.
